About me
I adore special occasions and use my passion for illustrative storytelling to draw your most memorable moments.
I spend my days happily working from my home in Suffolk, with my cats, my plants, (and my other half, Tom) for company.
Hannah Weeks Illustration was established in January 2013, following my departure from my graduate career designing lingerie for M&S and Boux Avenue. Motivated by my need to find a role I genuinely identified with, I quickly discovered that I wanted to create meaningful pieces of art on an individual basis. I craved to work on projects where my artistic self could truly flourish – an itch that could not be scratched within the fashion industry, for me personally.
As I built a reputation for myself, working on all manner of pieces from wedding invitations and table plans to family and pet portraits, I lovingly developed my unique illustration style. A recognisable approach that has carried me through more than a decade of drawing my lovely customers. You can find out all about the way I draw with my step-by-step guide.
Alongside designing and drawing your projects, I offer a full concept to finished product service – from interpreting your ideas (no matter how vague) and illustrating your piece, right through to actioning printing and framing with my trusted UK-based suppliers. I can either provide you with a fully-realised, ready-to-go piece, or you can dictate to me precisely what you are looking for, and I will provide you with a digital copy of your artwork. You can then choose to arrange to print or frame it for yourself.
Think of the way I work with you as “made-to-measure” rather than “off the peg”. Like going to a Tailor for a custom-fit suit, instead of picking a standard size off the rack.
I also love plants!
I am an RHS-qualified gardener, and I love plants. They’re my other big obsession alongside my excitement around illustrating. To this day, I maintain to work one day a week gardening at a beautiful country cottage nearby (join me on Instagram to follow what I’m up to).
My brand, Talking of Plants, has come from both of these fascinations, realised in my collection of illustrated, plant-themed gifts and clothing.
